Rental properties, merchandising, service businesses, nonprofit organizations. I've operated and managed all of them, and I've rebuilt their financial systems along the way. The improvements that came out of that work are what this practice brings to your business.

Books like an accountant, systems like an engineer
Certified Public Bookkeeper. BS in Accounting, summa cum laude. CPA candidate with the New York exams in progress, and more than a decade of books across a wide range of industries. I keep books for my own operations too. Rental properties, multi-entity structures, channel revenue that arrives net of a dozen adjustments. I don't advise on anything I don't run myself.
What I see go wrong most isn't fraud. It's rushing. Bank feeds classified on autopilot, no system checking the automation, nobody verifying to source documents. I verify to source documents.

People hide their books like dirty laundry. I got news for you. I've seen it all. Confident owners with gaping holes they never suspected, embarrassed owners whose books were nearly fine. You only ever see your own books. I see the whole spectrum, and nothing in yours will surprise me.
Nothing about a messy file scares me off, either. Worst case we start a fresh set of books, and I've done it. Usually it's not that bad. Usually we can fix what you've got.
